That looks like a Panache- which was Holdsworth's, who owned the CB marque then, attempt to do high end tourer to compete with the Galaxy.

The braze ons for racks and the lettering make it stand out from the majestic, which was the previous model. As its got centre pulls its probably about mid eighties.

Retro is something made in the style of previous years...like a new Mini Cooper, or those digital radios that look like old Roberts Wirelesses.

The bike is just old, or vintage even. Unless it's new and purposely built to look like it's from the 70s or 80s.

nice bike though, someone will/should treasure that.

Hi Skully, thanks for the interest (And all others for their interest) It is a lovely bike and there has been a lot of interest in it. I'm not going to give it away today but I hope that all will be done by the end of the w/e. If anyone doesn't feel comfortable showing open bids then PM me with a number and I'll update the thread when I can. I've discussed with a couple of guys on the forum for a potential switch to White rolls and will put new bar tape on so the buyer gets a complete ready to ride bike.
Thanks, FE

Hi Dave, Tower Bridge. @ Ellisk, no. I've been pushed for an indication and that is it. I didn't build this bike but I have built many others. The bike comes serviced and I will fit for the new owner.

A truly beautful machine, worth lots on flea bay

Being picky (as I was told Sunday when giving back a car, for the body repairs to be attempted to be made decent for the third time...) its not got braze on's for a bottle, and that seat bolt just cries out for an allen bolt one, IMHO the brake levers are crap, the braze on lamp boss never was helpful on the aesthetic lines.

I'm sure it was a well meaning purchase at the time, but the lady wasn't for turning (certainly not on a bike anyway).

That rear brake cable run is just so neat!

Hmm- 9/10 speed STI's, triple chainset, light wheels, the RACK taken off, V brakes, that angel would fly along very nicely, right size for Mrs & daughter
