Quick update on sponsors for this race...

We've now just got £500 worth of sponsorship from Howies too, to go with the Frame and forks from Brooklyn Machine Works, prizes from Vans, and prizes from Brixton cycles.

It's getting better by the day!

I prefer metcheck's weather report which shows light rain from 4-6 which will clear up quickly between showers.

I'll be sending out a group email to all the registered riders by friday at the latest to let people know start times, meeting point, and a basic course, and just general info you'll need to know.
If everyone who is registered turns up, there will be over 120 riders, but probably more.
I just recieved the Tee shirts too and they look awesome.
If enough people are intersted in buying them i'll get another run printed after the event.

BMX is getting big again in Romford, it goes through periods of high and low interest, and the number of small teenagers and pre-teen kids riding around with uncut Slam bars is stupid. It's the equivalent of Gary Coleman riding a road bike with 60cm wide bars.

Indeed it is Mr Ross haha, he always looks like a douche, but he is a sick street rider, massively in agreement on the stupidly over the top wide-bar trend, I've always been pretty damn big for bmx and I still cut my slams down an inch at each end, yet there's kids about a foot shorter than me riding those bitches uncut haha, cracks me up!

Like OMGZZZZ I saw Chase Hawkzzz in this vid and he was like flowing all over the place with mega wide bars, I know i'm only 5 ft 2 but i'm gonna throw away my perfectly good handlebars and get some megawide, megatall bars just so I can be like my hero Chase innit.

Nicest bars I ever owned. I had to sell them not long after I bought them because I needed cash and because Cyclone were sold out, this guy was willing to pay what I paid new for them.

It was too good a deal to say no, so I'm still rocking 5 year old Odyssey Civilians with an inch off both sides.

Sadly yes Ray did close down Cyclone. He popped into my shop not long back he's now doing roofing or something! There goes my discount! But at least he's still alive and kicking!

Yeah James those are Scerbo bars, it's just a shame they didn't sell them in chrome. Only seen them in that shit painted silver and black. Whatever happened to that fashion for black bikes and chrome 4 piece bars...? I say fashion, I only know of two people who rocked it, Bob Scerbo and Ryan Worcester.
