London Fixed-gear and Single-speed SJS Cycles

Went through a crossing today as the lights changed. As I came out of the other side a driver pulled out from the left hitting me on the thigh and sending bike across the road. Managed to stay upright, before putting my foot out and avoided hitting the barriers in the middle of the road. Got away with it - no injury (except bruise on thigh) and bike ok. My fault in part - was going at a reasonable pace, the lights were changing, roads were wet and I thought fuck it either slam the brakes on or carry on. He had simply looked at the stationary cars behind me and thought it was safe to pull-out. Bloke was really nice (gave me a hug because I wasn't injured - and having recently split with girlfriend this is the first physical contact I've had this week!).

I sometimes knock other cyclists off their bikes just so I can hug them.

I sometimes hug other cyclists as a means of knocking them off their bikes.

Sometime I knock one out when I see two cyclists hugging.

I have to be knocked out in order to be hugged, but I have to be hugged in order to knock one out.

It's a hard life.

I sometimes hug a bike so I can knock a car driver off it.

I wonder if all this hugging is having a knock-on effect?
