Hey teddy I've still got your plus-4s. Let me know when you want them back, or if you're at Westie beers this week I'll bring them down

sorry but that outfit kinda... sucks. it's a bit more frumpy-flasher-in-the-park than 1930s hipster cyclist.

(sorry if that's a pic of your, uhm, gramma)

I like her wood handlebar ends, and the honey Brooks; but the impossible-to-reach water bottle (while cycling), is just odd.

gramma's outfit

That's lovely Adrienne and she apologized and explained for not wearing 'the real deal'...:)

At least they had fun in a similar fashion, gotta keep an open mind to diversity, not?

They clearly haven't read the latter pages of the Lamborghini thread.

Goodwood is just down on the coast right? Can't be more than 60 miles, ripe for a nice summers ride (perhaps not in tweed if going at more than a leisurely pace)

the goodwood festival of speed is on 4-5 july
the goodwood revival is on 18-20 september

the festival of speed weekend is also when the dunwich dynamo is on, and I'll be away anyway, but I'm available for the revival, might be slightly cooler weather for the wearing of tweed..

Hello! I live in Toronto, Canada, and was in London recently for the wedding of my best friend. As we walked along the Thames one day, we were passed by a sea of sharp-dressed riders on fixed gear bikes. The Tweed Run! As a single-speed enthusiast myself (I have a Rickert, from Germany), this was a beautiful site to see. In short, it blew my mind. I saw a write-up for this event in Canada's "Momentum" magazine and now am contacting you because the article featured a graphic which looks like it was a promotional poster for the event. Would that be so? If yes, is there any way in the world I could order a Tweed Run poster from you and have it mailed to Canada?
Happy riding,
Matthew Cowley

Goodwood is just over 60 miles from Brick Lane and the route there is a picturesque ride across the North and South Downs.

Alternatively, take the train to Chichester.

Not sure if you guys realise what you've started, but in addition to San Fran, Auckland had it's own variant on the theme last week (see: http://glendowiebicycleclub.blogspot.com/, snaps on http://www.flickr.com/photos/michael...7615782899114/ and
http://public.fotki.com/JohnMcK/gbc/) and a Tweed Run is being planned for Sydney: http://www.sydneycyclist.com/group/s...3A55257&page=1 and http://sydney.tweedrun.info/Home.

Could be the start of an international movement!
