I'd be incredibly keen but like many others have a 'need for tweed'

@Corny and anyone else in the same boat - Do you want to do a little tour to pick up the necessaries next week at some point?

wibble we could do a tweed run on the saturday, david saxby - putney to JD's place in camden, thence to Bricklane/ Hanbury St.
I generally don't finish work until after 6, so weeknights are out for me...
you gonna be down to souths tomorrow, we could figure out a plan then, if not we'll continue the discussion in this thread..

Heh, I couldn't remember if I had a different username back then. I've drifted east too, in New Cross now. Still on the Pinarello until next week when I hopefully should finish my stupid neverending Soma build. Hurrah!

Right, I need to go cape shopping.

Corny, unfortunately I'm in the countryside until next sunday (would the shops be open on a sunday?) but if you're happy to wait another week til the 17th-18th that would be better for me..

Obviously if that's cutting it a bit finer than you'd like we may have to wait for another day to be shopping buddies

think we should do it en masse, nothing like the chance for a ride on a cold winters day to try on clothes eh...

not likely dude as it was not for me (a wee bit on the small side). funny, i have dug out this photo but the bike in it, my trusty Copacetic, is built up again, and exactly the same is that.

TB, get over to the South Beers - it's not that long a drag and am sure some head back your way.

So JD, if one were to pop down to your fine establishment how many of the queens pounds would one have to spend to acquire plus fours, jacket and waistcoat?

Well then, chaps! This looks like a jolly good lark, and a leisurely jaunt in some spiffing plus fours would be just what the doctor ordered. Sadly, I must demure, as on the date proposed I shall be off touring the colonies and checking up on the old estate, don't you know.

All that aside, have a rollicking good time, raise a snifter or three and my best regards to all and sundry. Cheerio!
