The alloy crown of he fork was corroded to hell, the rest of the guy's bike was worn out, he kept the few bits that weren't, we had to break them before binning them so someone didn't take them out the bin & try putting them on a bike.

I'm not saying I don't like carbon, it's perfectly good for the job it's intended for, wouldn't trust it on one of my own bikes though. My boss snapped his EC90 bars falling off on ice last week, that's a fair bit of money down the drain!

Carbon doesn't have the same multidirectional strength that metals do, it is more like wood in that respect = load it the wrong way and POP

I can safely say after just one trainingsession on my PlanetX at the track that theres a world of differance riding that compared to that 90's Faggin steelframe I thought was stiff and good.. :)
