Do you come down to ride at all ? My club does Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights there at the moment (weather dependent). It's road bike/singlespeed only during the winter, fixed will start back up again in the spring. Sessions are open to all if you fancy coming down, and Friday night is probably the best one to start at (8pm for Seniors)

Changed the front end up a little.. Different stem/bars/brake. Now just need to get a decent brake and super glue the rear hub and it'll be finished!

Just post something in the classifieds asking for a rear fixed hub/full wheel.
A cheap back wheel shouldn't cost much!

You can put a fixed sprocket on a normal freewheel thread.

I seem to remember something about bottom bracket lockrings fitting on that thread..

If you are using a single-threaded freewheel-type hub, this is better than nothing, though not so secure as a real track hub with a left-threaded lockring.

^ It's called a suicide hub. You want to rotafix the cog on and use some loctite as well. I did this and rode on it for a couple of months. BB lockring won't make much difference, I didn't use one. If you rotafix the cog on, it'll be on much tighter than the lockring, so the lockring would make little difference.

Bens bike looks ace with no brakes.

Dan, nowt to stop you stickering up your bike.

Here's mine

^ by the way I'll do that fine art lighting effect to your bike but even better, for only £900 including a limited edition 12" by 8" print, signed and framed. I may charge a more affordable price if someone actually wanted it done

nah, i think i'm going to get it powdercoated when the spring arrives. i've already taken a hacksaw to the braze-ons. it will always be a bit ugly due to the v-brakes, computer, flat bar, and other practicalities, but at least it'll be a nice colour.

Bet that thing has a slightly better riding postion than your Aende, When I rode it I felt like my legs were going to smack of my chin, F***ing nice though. Also did you not worry about the angle of your headtube after switching the forks from 650 to 700c, I would be so paranoid that the front end would come off in my hands!
