I'm checking out here. I'll contact the council and find out the deal with getting the lights on in the evenings.

Not close enough to my gaff. I refuse to ride more 500 metres to play polo.

Fail.

The malletov cocktail court is right by the Wenlock Arms, one of my favourite pubs (and, unfortunately, one of Jonny's least favourite).

When do people play there?

The court was chosen for that very reason Mashton. And people play there when they lose away fixtures.

This court by Broadway Market has lights.

http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll...02414&t=h&z=19

I spoke to the local estate manager who said the lights should be on every night and if they’re not, they can reset them remotely or call out an engineer. They seemed really helpful.

It’s not perfect; there’s a low rail down one side, but it doesn’t seem dangerous. It needs a sweep out, as there’s debris in it at the moment, but other than that it’s pretty good.

Shin, can you add it to the map? It has a bit of grafitti which says ‘The Pit’, which names it.

We can maybe play it one night next week, and if it works, we’ll use it as a home court.

There is also what looks to be a blinding court (circular brick wall, right size) in Stationers Park, N8.

Anyone fancy a trip up there one Sunday later this month?

Bath st was open last night at 8. Did you check the right door Ray? Was it the main entrance to the park? Because there is a side one.

Fail. Surface is way too loose for decent play. Shame, because with a good surface it could be a really good court. We used the Bolyen Road court. It rocks, and there was no-one else on it at 11am. Interested passers-by too!

Many happy memories of go-karting down the little hill from up by the tunnel with my brother when we were kids in Cherry Tree Woods. What happened to the putting green, tho?

I totally agree with skoota too this league rules as it's making the game more variable. Different courts require different tactics.

found a possible home for BAD polo last night. Two brand new courts next to each other, amazing smooth surface, fencing all around (except for the entrance onto the courts) with the bottom 30cm solid wood, amazing flood lighting (really bright), and only just south of the river! They seam to be pretty quiet, just two kids playing on one of the courts last night at about 8:30

courts are here (the picture on google maps is an old one, the courts have been refurbished) : http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll...774cef7cbe6037
