I've always wanted a Raleigh frame with 'shot in' seat stays and ended up getting one for £20 from a guy up the road.
Desperately needed a repaint so I dropped it off at Brian Rourke for a coat of wild fire red in homage to Dammits Serotta. Whilst there the top tube cable guides were replaced as one had snapped off.
I built it up and used it for about 4,000 miles last year in all weathers until two crashes in two days on the icy roads forced my hand into rebuilding it into nice weather only summer bike with a little better components.
Plans are silver 10speed Campagnolo groupset, mostly Centaur with Chorus Ergos. Nitto Noodles and Zenith stem arrived today and the drillium seatpost is only for show and will be replaced by a Campag aero one. Wheels are Chorus on Ambrosio Excellence with the lovely gold balance weights around the valve. Not sure on tyres yet.
First project on here so any advice, abuse, etc...welcomed.
