I'm interested in paleo as a concept but love dairy, and, how TF do you do a lot of riding on minimal starchy carbs? Do veg cut it for providing endurance sport fuel?

Ah. Fair enough. Should've popped in myself, it was basically in my front yard!

I'd join it to keep me motivated. Two people make a club right?

No. I'm more in a running form where collapsation and drink is all I can muster

Would tight calves after a 'long' (8 miles) run, and a recent return to running, be just my body adapting or poor form?

Wow, that's quite a fast build, but i guess the 4th week of stabilisation levels it out.

Running makes me tired. And sweaty. Still hot nearly an hour and a half later.

Sounds like an interesting finish today: (from INRNG):

the best is saved for last. Officially 4.6km at 7.8%, the first part of the climb is a soft 5% before a mid-section of 3km that averages over 10% before a final kilometre of 9%. Those two or three percentage points make all the difference: it’s short and steep but long enough to provide the first test of climbing legs.
As climbs go this is unusual, there are no bends in the road, it is almost straight from one end to the other

IN my attempt to get back into running shape after a long lay-off for a potential half marathon in early November, just managed 7.5 miles in 54 mins, which is 7.2mins/mile... Pretty chuffed!

If i can keep that pace but up my distance by about half a mile a week, I reckon November for a half will be fine.

I'm not used to building up to longer running events, is that type of escalation wise / feasible? Will put me on around 11 miles just before the start of November
