In a bit of a cross-post with the Viccy Pendleton appreciation thread, there was a show hosted by the lady herself with Wiggo guesting, discussing the mental work behind being a cyclist.

Not listened yet myself, but heard Pendleton chatting about the series in general on R5 a while back. Should be interesting.

Did a workout yesterday that I've not attempted before, called Gilbert... 4 x 10 minute intervals, each starts just below FTP and slowly ramps in the second half to 115% FTP. Nasty. Very nasty. Supposed to be good for muscular endurance.trainerroad.com/cycling/ridesĀ/1359121-Gilbert-

The first 5 mins of each interval before the ramp starts inspires that 'oh shit there's a really steep hill approaching' feel that you get when outdoors.

Good job that's the one I've got then.

Anyone looking to get rid of one? Any old shite will do as I just want a turbo wheel... Recently upgraded to 11 speed and can't be arsed to change tyres every time I want to get on the turbo!

    Thanks

Some clip on aero bars would look good on a storck.

That made me do a proper LOL

I actually got a podium chill yesterday and put sweet tea in it for my ride today - after about 2 hours of riding it was tepid but certainly better than a freezing cold jolt of nuun, by 3 hours it was stone cold - still tasted nice though. Caffeine and sugar = win. And there's something about tea that just makes everything a bit nicer, even if your legs are screaming.

I don't really understand the difference from the ptj either. Is it basically that the new one is for rougher conditions?

The pt softshell in red looks ace though. Cunningly released for the Xmas rush

I reckon it would be alright to be honest. A bit mushy, but the orangey goodness will be there, and that's all that matters really.
