IN my attempt to get back into running shape after a long lay-off for a potential half marathon in early November, just managed 7.5 miles in 54 mins, which is 7.2mins/mile... Pretty chuffed!
If i can keep that pace but up my distance by about half a mile a week, I reckon November for a half will be fine.
I'm not used to building up to longer running events, is that type of escalation wise / feasible? Will put me on around 11 miles just before the start of November
