Sauerkraut on a burger? Interesting... Does it take away from the beef though? When I go to those hip burger places I quite like the more plain ones as you can actually enjoy the quality of the patty

Thanks dude. Any specific artists at those places? I'll have a browse through all the portfolios too

Good old school / sailor style artist in central / south / east anyone? I don't know where to start, there's so many studios and artists out there!

    Dear @6pt @eyebrows @Sumo @branwen @Hovis @bitterbuffalo @dbr @cjr @amey @dimi3 @FixedCheese, anyone else I may have forgotten from previous rides, and anyone else who reads this:

I'm happy to organise the third LFGSS.CC ride in the likely absence of our Directeur Sportif Henry. It will be in Kent, around 80 miles, with a good mix of hills and flat bits.

The idea will be working on group skills as much as possible, but with every man for himself up the lumpy bits. I also have a section in mind where we could do a small bit of breakaway / group chasedown a la the Voigt ride to mix things up.

Am hoping that we can keep it at an 18mph average, and there will be a brief cafe stop.

This will probably be next Sunday (2nd November), starting 8.30am ish in the Herne Hill / Crystal Palace area. The date of the ride will be confirmed after I test my mojo and my legs this weekend following a period of illness and various injuries. Also, shit weather = no ride.

If there's sufficient interest I'll make an event, post a route, decide on the group size (likely to be 10-12 only I'm afraid), and, most importantly, think of a catchy and witty name for the ride.

You mean over and unders? They are indeed horrible, I think they're the hardest / 'best' workout on TR.

Totally know what you mean about the unders, you expect it to be the end of the suffering, but it's only a diluted form of it.

Righto folks, am in the market for some new running shoes.

Having seen a physio (due to some running and riding related tendinits) and had a gait analysis at runner’s need, it appears that I need neutral shoes, even though I currently use Brooks Ravennas, which are for over-pronation.

I know it’s a really broad question, but, any recommendations on good sneaks? Anything that’s getting rave reviews at the moment, are on sale etc etc? I don’t really read up on running stuff and rarely venture into the running section of wiggle and the like so don’t know where to start at the moment.

Running is a secondary activity to riding for me, so I don’t really want to spend any more than about £70 if poss. I have narrow feet should that make a difference. I’m also planning on going back to runners need and trying some out.

    Danke

I'm hoping to get some more of my calf / shin done soon too. I've been told that around the Achilles is one of the worst places, and that's where I've got done already. But something is scaring me about the shin a bit.

Sorry for what will i imagine be a hugely asked question, but the next piece I want is going to be quite old school / sailor style - any recommendations for places in South / East / Cental London to go please?

How was this guys? I kept my eyes peeled for you but didn't see a bunch of hipsters in amongst the fat 40 years old bankers on 5k bikes when I was out and about.

Thanks for the kudos @eyebrows, but, trust me, I felt very slow and weak today. A week or so of little riding and being a touch under the weather took its toll. It's amazing how hard hills feel when you're on an off day!

Now to go clean all the filth off my bike. Bah.

I'm happy to organise a kent ride until Directeur Sportif Henry is back in town. Probably of a standard club run / café stop / focus on group work theme. but not til my legs feel better.
