I'll definitely still use a pan when I'm at home, but for work, microwave is more than adequate.

    And
@dicki and @Cazakstan, yeh, Dukes is great. They do a platter thing for about £22 which is the most absurd amount of meat you'll ever encounter, including a beef rib the size of a baby's leg.

Just done scrambled eggs in the microwave for the first time in my office.

Surprisingly not too shit, given I'm really fussy about scrambled eggs when done properly (slowly and with love, and must be pretty runny).

This is going to change my weekday eating habits forever.

Regent's park this morning was like a Rapha showroom. I was also guilty of displaying their goods, it was almost a bit embarrassing. Random runners / walkers / commuters etc probably think the rapha armband stripe thing is some sort of uniform

Is that October 12th? I did consider tat when I settled on Richmond or Kingston (Thames Meander), but that's only about 6 weeks away. I could probably do it, but it would be painful.

More convenient for me to get to than Kingston or Richmond though! Looks like the Richmond one would be laps, which sounds dull as...

After a long time off running, am getting slowly back into it again and would like something to aim for in the next few months... Am thinking of signing up to either the Old Deer Park Richmond half or Thames Meander half, which are end of Oct / start of Nov.

Anyone got any experience of having done these before?

And do you reckon that gives me enough time to get ready for it (i.e.two months)? I do loads of cycling so am fit, but it's mostly in terms of conditioning and re-building the running specific muscles that I'm talking about. Did five miles the other day without any repercussions (albeit quite slow), if I add a mile each week should be do-able right?

Entered into the Lufguss league... Crusty Banana Faces are go!

I'll lose interest after day 4, like I did with the tour league...

Passed Soho Bikes today (Berwick Street) so thought I'd pop in and see what it's all about.

Quite a nice cafe at the front, did me a nice flat white. Worth checking out.

What are the open sessions like at the velopark, when you just turn up and ride for as long as you want?

I'd like to smash around a reasonably technical loop and see what I can do, so ideally I don't want to be dodging loads of nodders. Does it tend to be really busy after work?

Al, what's the Olympic park TT thing? Have you started TT'ing?
