Assuming there will be snow on the ridge by then it's a major undertaking in winter conditions.

It seems a bit disingenuous comparing Wiggins to Porte in this case, for inclusion in the team he should be compared to the weakest rider in the squad selected, not the second best.

    Diving!

I guess that really depends what timescale you're looking at.

Baroness last night, was it any good?

They were amazing in Manchester, played a lot off Blue and Red, and I was surprised how much heavier the new stuff sounded live. It's also great to see a band loving what they do so much.

Nick there is a very wide range of difficulty at the Biscuit Factory, there will be 20+ boulder problems that will be possible to most people just coming in off the street. It's a big facility so they have the space to have lots of problems at all grades, so there would be plenty to entertain you even as a complete novice.

    yo.
    Memberships look terribly expensive?
Can you go to a wall on your own? or do you always need a buddy? (who belays?)
Do most places charge for the use of a harness etc?

Membership generally only works out cheaper than paying for single sessions if you are going to go more than once a week.

As others have said, you can go bouldering on your own, most walls have an induction process where you get show around the wall and show the dos and don'ts - this looks like the Arch's version archclimbingwall.com/lessons/introduction/

The Arch in Bermondsey is one of the best bouldering walls in the country and is quite handy form Brixton.

Would Horner have been tested as a matter of course as race leader after the Angliru and the final stage or not?

"A map full of striking patterns, from Savills’ analyst Neal Hudson. It shows the areas of London where, for each area, the second most popular language is spoken by more than 5% of residents there, based on the 2011 Census. It clearly reveals London’s linguistic clusters, from Arabic to Yiddish and Lithuanian to Tamil."

It says theyare made to have no seams, but the shorts have one right on the inner thigh (unlike any other shorts I own); this has caused irritation on rides >50 miles. Maybe my thighs just need to HTFU...

It's a shame because the fit is good, as is the pad.

Went out with a mate to ride the biggest hills I could think of near mine on the geared bike.

Was one of you wearing a Rapha country jersey? Saw you near almscliff then again at Shipley (was out climbing). You were just short of a couple of big ones (Langbar, over towards Fewston or towards Haworth).

    Lovely day for it!
