Wheel builder and general bike rider
Haven't weighed them but... according to manufacturer's specs:
Rims - 490g x 2 = 980g
Hubs - 433g
Lasers x 48 x 4.25g = 204g
Race x 16 x 5.67g = 91g
Nipples (brass) - 64 x 1g = 64g
TOTAL = 1772g
I have an interested party by PM - just waiting on payment... might be gone soon. Dibs if it doesn't go through though...
Miche/ Araya wheelset now £130 delivered.
If you're unfamiliar with these - Miche hubs are not the lightest, but bombproof with cup-and-cone bearings for easy serviceability without special tools. Araya rims are like the Mavic of Japan - really high quality machining and pretty light - 490g per rim, 20mm wide and 23mm deep.
Last drop - £650 delivered as that's about what I'd get on Ebay after fees with a £700 reserve.
Putting on Ebay tonight...
Hmm, tough time of year... eBay soon methinks.
Hope/Record wheelset gone just the Miche/Araya left.
No, it's a 1 1/8th headtube with a shim for the 1-inch carbon steerer. I'll update the description.
