RE wanting a Harley,if you want one, and buy something else, you will still want the Harley.
Get your licence, take one for a test ride, decide if living with one is your idea of fun.

Heard tale of people having to tighten most bolts every few hundred miles, because they shake themselves loose (not sure what model though)

Noise can be made with aftermarket cans and removsl of baffels...

MT07 is a strong contender now, looks pretty decent and about hte same price as a duke 690

Bollocked up my theory test and failed the hazard perception (1 bastard point)

Next time hopefully, then i can get on the big bike lessons.

Ive got a £4000 bike budget, plus a CBF125 with lots of miles and minor crash damage.
Hoping a kindly dealer with a 690 to shift will feel generous

    Anyone got experience with KTM?
Considering my next (first) big bike.
Not got my licence yet, but its in the pipeline.

    Considering a Duke 390 or 690.
390 seems better suited as i ride 40 miles/ day through shit traffic (A13/M25 dartfrod crossing)
My cbf125 is good at carving a line through the minefield of cars, the 390 is based, i believe, on the Duke 125 chassis, so should be as nimble, but with better punch for the closing gaps/ rare times i have a clear road.

Plan on testing both out, but wondered if anyone has used either?

Had a mechanical moment earlier, coasted to a stop at a roundabout in 3rd.
    Cbf125, 2009 with 26k on the clock.
    Bike wouldnt shift down.
Slipped the clutch and took a back street, got up to 5th then back down all the way no issues.
Is this a sign something is amiss?
Unsure what would cause this issue, hoping the box isnt fucked. Will check oil levels this weekend.
Cant be spending money on it, need to shift it soon to get a big bike (when i pass my test)
