GUARINI ROAD FRAME 57cm c1978 Gorgeous
Seat Tube (ctc): 57cm
Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Columbus
This very beautiful Italian built road frame dates from around 1978. It is in very good condition and has lots of rather beautiful features - just take a look at the engraved head tube, slotted rear dropouts, seatstay and chainstay joints to the rear dropouts, engraved top eyes and pantographed Gs into the head lugs. The chrome plating is in very sound condition with just a little wear in a few places, notably on the seatstays and very good paintwork which does have some marks but most of which could easily be touched up. £195 SOLD

HETCHINS EXPERTO CREDE 56cm 1960 Easy conversion
Seat Tube (ctc): 56cm
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Brake drop with 700C wheels: 58mm
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double-butted
This Hetchins frame has recently been repainted at Argos Cycles - it has one or two small chips from being in storage - the back of the fork crown has the largest chips. However the frame is in very good condition. The Experto Crede lugs are very attractive and truly quite stunning to look at - with a 120mm rear width and long Campy dropouts it would make a very easy conversion. £445 SOLD

20in ROAD FRAME c1948 Lovely faux 2-plate fork crown Easy 1-spd or fixed conversion
Seat Tube (ctt): 20in
Top Tube (ctc): 22in
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C with a brake drop of 50mm
Seatpost size 27.2mm
This is a very pretty small frame from the late 1940s - I do not know what make it is but is obviously built from good quality double-butted tubing, probably Reynolds 531 as it takes a 27.2mm seatpost. Its in very sound condition and will make a great single speed or fixed frame - the rear dropouts are easily respaced to 120mm - I will do it for the buyer if they wish. £45 SOLD

STAN PIKE ROAD FRAME 22.5in c1980 Reynolds 753
Seat Tube (ctt) : 22.5in
Top Tube (ctc): 22in
Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C (brake drop of approx 44mm)
Bottom bracket threads: English
This frame has had one owner from new and has been relatively recently repainted and fitted complete with original transfers. The paint is generally excellent with only a few small and not obtrusive marks.
Stan Pike only built under his own name for a few years - approx 1975-83 - a small amount of information is available on him at www.classicrendezvous.com/british_isles/Pike_stan.htm He started out as a framebuilder at Wally Green in the 1960s before becoming a a welder at Westland helicopters. It would convert easily to a singlespeed or fixed with its horizontal dropouts and 120mm rear spacing. £195 SOLD

COLNAGO 52cm c1974/5
Seat Tube (ctc): 52cm
Top Tube (ctc): 53cm
Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C with 57mm brake drop
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Bottom bracket threads: Italian
This Colnago which I bought from Italy does not have the clubs in any of the lugs but the BB shell has the standard Colnago cutout and the forks are thestandard Colnago for the period. The paint appears original and is in very sound condition - it has the remains of a Columbus decal from the period and the seatpost size would confirm it is built from good quality butted frame tubing. The fork’s steerer is Columbus... A very attractive frame which will convert easily to singlespeed or fixed. £175

COLNAGO MAXIM MTB FRAME 45cm ctc 51cm ctt NOS c1990
Seat Tube (ctc): 45cm, 51cm ctt
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm
Rear dropout width: 135mm
This frame is built from tubing that is ovalised at both the head tube and bottom bracket - I suspect it could be Columbus Max OR tubing but I do not know for certain. The paint is in excellent unmarked condition and is really a rather unusual finish. This frame is really rather rare - early Colnago MTB frames are not seen very often. £235

RALEIGH 853 MTB FRAME 16.5in c2000
Seat Tube (ctt): 16.5in
Top Tube (ctc): 21in
Rear dropout width: 135mm
Tubing: Reynolds 853
Seatpost size: 30.2mm
This is a very beautiful frame built in the last year of Raleigh’s Special Product’s Department. It has cantilever/V-brake mounts but no disc brake mounts. It comes complete with the XT front derailleur. The paint has some marks but nothing unsightly. It comes complete with seatpost. £125 SOLD
