Afternoon Lewis.... hope that all goes well down in Brighton, and down, more specifically, at Baker Street.... London's doing ok... passed up the idea of a Rollapaluza last night... it's something you need to do once, but perhaps not make a thing of... in the meantime I'm getting better as a courier, now earning a half-decent wage... well, quarter-decent perhaps. How did you do in that mad mission across the Welsh countryside last month... been meaning to ask, imagine it must have been pretty intense.... on a slightly more tame note, I rode in the Brompton World Championship with a borrowed Brompton last weekend.... really nice countryside at Blenheim Palace.... but the thing was overpoweringly full of toffs... don't know why it hadn't occurred to me sooner.
Anyway... main reason for writing to ye... the chain on my fixed... it still keeps on stretching, is the thing ever going to stop? I've got a courier friend who rides a fixed with a BMX chain, and I imagine that that's a bit less elastic, but not really what I want to resort to. Soon I'm going to be at the end of my drops, and have to shorten my chain, but if I constantly have to shorten my chain by taking links out then won't I be compromising the strength of my chain? Thoughts/ideas/opinions????
Hope you don't mind me picking at your brain... take it easy amigo
hey lewis from lewes... like the name... and likewise good to see you friday... only just signed up with lfgss... looks like I should get myself a picture.
