4x... slightly more weight, but you're spreading any stress throughout the wheel more evenly resulting in a stronger wheel. (Imagine a net with a smaller mesh compared to a net with a larger mesh, the extra points of contact allow more of the wheel to absorb impacts.)
Also 4x is stiffer as there's more friction in the wheel (again due to the extra contact points between spokes) which supposedly helps with immediately getting your power down... I'm not convinced by this one, for polo you'd be better off with as many loose (ish) spokes as possible, so this seems like a bit of a moot point.
I'll might have to delay my order now... my laptop has gone to heaven.. : (
Priorities.
Let me know however if you're still interested in ordering a frame.

I'm using a Mac, and working online doesn't allow you to save.
I normally do a printscreen, with measurements, and do it all over again if need to change anything.
I´m getting my one done in Portugal, in what's most likely the only frame builder there nowadays.
He has giving me the choice of Reynolds, Columbus or Vitus GT... and Easton Alloy. He also does carbon, and quite well.
I'm still not sure, due to my design, but most likely to be Reynolds.
