(Now I just have to pray this doesn't crash my inbox...)

  • ...and they're off!

  • ^mm thanks for going to all the effort of this coach business. These are the kind of tricks that make cycling in England fucking awesome. If I were wise I would buy one myself. I still may do.

Other FCLIMRTAB-ers: getting a £20 early bird ticket is no bad idea.

Or, take the Monday off work, come camping with me and then get a ride back in the van Monday afternoon :-)

  • Would love to but I'm all out of holiday babez

  • I think a few of you have bought tickets, thank you.

Would someone do me a favour and confirm that they are directed to a Thank You page on our website after payment?

(This loop is to avoid me having to email 700+ people individually as Barry used to to.)

    Thanks!

    Alex

    Worked for me.

  • Thanks mr_tom.

    Phew!

  • Plus you get a receipt from PayPal.

Not that I would know, I'm riding back. Fuck yeah.

  • ^ Who did you buy for then?

  • Benjam. He'll only forget, otherwise.

  • Me and a mate are thinking of coming down from the north for this. Looks mega fun.

As a new person to DD, I found it hard to comprehend those with high powered lights (particularly front lights) who set them to stroboscopic fit-induction modes... Could have been cool to mention, in your notes, that it may be stressfull to other riders when in the pitch-dark.

    Am I being a twat?

    PS
Ticket just bought! Great work, thanks.

    Yes!

It is annoying, not that you're a twat...

  • How much are night vision goggles? Semi-serious question...

i have turned my night riding light to flashing at points on long rides when it isn't that dark, or when there is streetlights- to save the battery.

Would be very weird to do this in the pitch black though.

  • Hmmm, but strong lights do serve a very good purpose.

Would it be enough to ask that people are considerate of others when using high-powered strobe lights and only use these when necessary, ie when it is pitch black?

What do others think? I know some people rely on other people's light to guide them in places.

    No, you're not a tw*t Skully!

Goggles would be fun but lights are as much, if not more, about other road users seeing you as you seeing them and your way.

  • Bought my ticket and got the 'thank you' page.

  • Bought my ticket just in case i don't have the legs to ride back.. see you there cafewanda.. great riding with you today xx

  • Oh woe is me. I was all lined up to do my fifth DD this year and now discover that the smallest Luddlet is performing in a concert I'm not allowed to miss.

  • ^ Burn the school down?
