  • Bummer. Missed it. Good turnout?

  • Decent enough, about 200 people. We only did one circuit, though, which felt a little anticlimactic.

  • Would cyclists be willing to wear advertising while commuting to help fund improvements to the road network across London? I would be willing to wear advertising if I thought it would make my journey safer.

  • A lot of people already are, free of charge

  • ^ by that I mean not the actual pro cyclists but the people who buy them to look geez while commuting

  • We could probably fit some more advertising on our bikes, like F1 cars.

I will be happy to publish a price list if anybody would like to advertise on me and / or my HHSB

Why should my safety on the road have to be bought by turning me into a fast moving billboard? How about we plaster cars with adverts to pay for it instead?

  • I'd be happy to advertise CyclistsFROWUK if it would help the facebook page make UK roads safer for cyclists.

I am afraid I did a little lol.

  • ^confirmed by who?
    What a silly pointless article
Much more efficient to move along roads with people in cars as they can almost Match my speed. Pedestrians don't have a chance.

  • Start a campaign against the Daily Mash.

Down with this sort of thing, etc.

  • You should write to The Daily Mash and complain.

If I was to write to every non cycling journo idiot who propagates silly myths about cycling that would occupy me full time.
I'd rather ride my bike, on the road, with cars and lorries coz it's much easier

  • Don't THINK so. All bases Covered*

  • David, you've been had. :)

    • THINK! drink driving
    • THINK! drug driving
    • THINK! fatigue
    • THINK! mobile phones
    • THINK! motorcycling
    • THINK! seat belts
    • THINK! speed
    • THINK! tales of the road

    Did I miss something?

Phew! I can now sleep soundly tonight.

    Oh dear.

"Cycling Campaigner in Sense of Humour Fail Shock"

  • I am not a cycling campaigner
I have never had a sense of humour

  • The second of those sentences is clearly false and so throws into question the veracity of the first.

    ;)

  • This deserves a bump. Sign up people.

  • LondonersOnBikes are running a load of rides over this coming weekend to get publicity material out to bikeshops. Designated as 'Tour Des Bikeshops' (I had no hand in the naming) there are about 10 tours all around London. If anyone feels like joining us on them, it would be greatly appreciated.
